Hello World,
Wait… I thought this was just code speak applicable? Well, let’s give it a try anyway. :)
My name’s Hirisha, or “H” for short as my family like to call me (they’re lazy, outnumber me by far and I am going with it). I am 26 and god-knows I have the attention span of a goldfish combined with the ambition of a domino in momentum. Can we just linger on this for a second?
Anyway, enough about me… what’s with the tongue twister of a name for the blog? Don’t worry, I can’t pronounce it either. On a work related trip to Nice, France this year I learned the meaning of “savoir-vivre”. It resonated with me. Days went by and I could not stop thinking about the phrase. The meaning and how undoubtedly easy it comes to describe someone we know or admire. Do you remember the old saying “If you’re the smartest person in the room, you’re in the wrong room”? It reminded me of that in a way. Except this wasn’t only about intelligence in the traditional sense of the word. For me, the phrase became synonymous with an educated life – wisdom and knowledge in literature, food, photography, lifestyle, travel, sport, self - you name it. It’s an all-inclusive package catered to each and every person. The meaning differs and so does the journey there.
This journey will be unhurried and leisurely – and your company will be priceless (for everything else I promise to use my MasterCard ;)). And even if I hate to say it, the French certainly have a few things figured out – and I don’t mean only the incredible Sauterne wine.
So, will you join me in this adventure? An adventure I am more interested in going far than going fast, and for that I certainly need you along the way.
